Top 2017 Zors, Ranked

Save These Dates in May…
A couple of upcoming franchise-related conferences just hit our radar and they might be worth checking out. First up is the 33rd Annual International Bar Association/International Franchise Association (IBA/IFA) Joint Conference, to be held May 8-9 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C. If it’s a legal issue regarding the franchise industry, you’ll hear about it here. Details on registration and travel can be found here.
Just two weeks later is the IFA Franchise Development Program seminar to be held May 18 at the Westin Buckhead Hotel in Atlanta, GA. During these semi-annual programs, franchise executives can learn about development solutions and best practices with real world scenarios. Franchisors are becoming more creative in attracting franchise candidates—find out how you stack up against the competition. Details on registration and travel arrangements can be found here.
Trump Tax Cuts Coming?
Following the demise of the Obamacare repeal, all eyes are back on Washington this week, as the Trump administration seems prepared to plow forward with its tax cut plan. What’s been said so far sure sounds attractive to the franchise industry—more specifically, a lowering of the corporate tax rate from 35 percent down to 20. The tax reform plan also calls for a massive tax cut for the middle class, which would presumably free up discretionary income to further kick-start the economy.
