Franchisor Trade Shows to Put On Your 2017 Calendar

2016 is slowly but surely winding down and in this week’s edition of Proven Match’s blog, we’re going to take a look at a few important trade shows coming up in 2017. Be sure to break out the red Sharpie and circle these dates on your calendar. All of these trade shows, expositions and conferences may well be worth a franchisor’s time and attendance.

International Franchisor Association (IFA) 2017 Convention

The IFA 2017 Convention convenes from January 29-February 1, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. This annual convention is open to members of the IFA and it is a must-attend event each year. From a networking standpoint, franchisors simply can’t do any better than this opportunity. During the 2017 IFA Convention, there are many pre-planned activities to attend, including over 50 different educational sessions, summits, and expert panel discussions. There will also be multiple franchise brand presentations from highly valuable franchise experts in the field. Because the convention itself is so big, there are even numerous opportunities to attend offsite workshops and seminars. Many of these gatherings drill down to specific franchise-focused learning, such as segments on marketing, promotions and even financing. You must be an IFA member to attend and registration can be found on the IFA 2017 Convention website, located here.

International Franchise Expo

Another key annual franchise trade show you might consider attending is the International Franchise Expo, the 2017 event of which is in New York City from June 15-17 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. This show and exposition tend to lean towards education, with programs focusing on insightful subjects like multi-unit proliferation, building franchises in the U.S. and how best to seek the right franchise opportunities. Over 400 different franchise concepts will be represented and attending this expo is an excellent way to keep your finger on the pulse of the industry as a whole. You can view all of the pertinent information, including registration, on the International Franchise Expo’s website, located here.

2017 Multi-Unit Franchising Conference

Want to see how you stack up to the competition in terms of multi-unit franchise competitiveness? This is the show for you. The 2017 event kicks off at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV from April 23-26. Most of the exhibitors at this conference include some of the biggest national names in franchise brands, such as 7-Eleven, GNC, Massage Envy, and Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services. Though the brands at this conference tend to skew heavily towards QSR, there is no substitute for hearing about successful strategies that build strategic franchisor growth. Emerging Franchisor Conference 2017

You’ll have to wait a little longer to sign up for this trade show, but the Emerging Franchisor Conference is a highly targeted affair. In 2017, it will be held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel from Nov. 6-8 in Phoenix, AZ.
